Happy Thanksgiving
I hope you are well and enjoying this Thanksgiving holiday with your family and loved ones. Thanksgiving is a time to celebrate and be grateful for all that we have. Yet, in a world filled with turmoil and horrific news, it is hard not to be anxious and stressed. The uncertainty and worry about our own safety can also, unfortunately, cause us to be over-reactionary. Because of fear, we may lose our compassion for others who are suffering from extreme loss, horrific experiences and pain.
What Can We Do?
i often ask my audiences, how can we have peace in the world made up of many different cultures, if we can’t  have kind regard and sincere compassion for  the people in our lives we see every day?  I believe bringing peace and understanding to our world can start right where we are, with the people we see every day. Practicing compassion with our family members, neighbors, friends and co-workers will contribute to the collective consciousness and impact all of humanity.
The workplace culture,  where most of us spend 3/4 of our waking hours, is often filled with fear, sabotage, insecurity and lack of trust.  When we can find clarity and understanding of our own fears  and how we create enemies, we are be able to find self acceptance, personal peace and freedom. Being a person of compassion is the is the greatest contribution to peace.
